Located in the hamlet of Golan near Porthmadog on the North Wales coast, Cefn-Yr-Efail is a beautifully renovated Smithy cottage that can accommodate up to eight guests in its four bedrooms. The cottage features three double bedrooms (one with an ensuite) and one twin bedroom, along with a ground floor family bathroom with a Jacuzzi bath. The property also includes a charming farmhouse kitchen with a dining area, a spacious living room with a flame-effect electric fire, and stunning mountain views from the garden with decking, gravelled and lawned areas.

Amenities at Cefn-Yr-Efail include oil central heating, an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, three TVs (two with Sky), two DVD players, WiFi, books, games, and DVDs. Bed linen, towels, cot, highchair, stairgate, fuel, and power are all included in the rent. The cottage also offers off-road parking for four cars and welcomes one well-behaved pet. Guests should note that there is restricted head height in the first-floor twin and double bedrooms.

Porthmadog is a charming harbour town situated on the Glaslyn Estuary and serves as the gateway to Snowdonia National Park. The town is known for its individual shops and restaurants, as well as the Ffestiniog Railway, which offers scenic steam train rides through Snowdonia to Blaenau Ffestiniog. Nearby attractions include the picturesque village of Portmeirion, known for its Italianate architecture and sandy beaches, as well as historic castles in Criccieth and Harlech. Black Rock Sands, with its expansive sandy shores, is also a popular destination in the area.
