Located in the village of Corris Uchaf in southern Snowdonia, this cottage in Machynlleth, Wales, has been renovated from two former quarry-man cottages and sleeps up to 6 people in 3 bedrooms. The cottage is pet-friendly and features an open fire, making it a cozy retreat for families or groups. The location is ideal, situated between sandy beaches and Snowdonia peaks, with easy access to the market towns of Machynlleth and Dolgellau.
The cottage offers a spacious layout with a ground floor living room, open plan kitchen/dining room, utility room, and WC. Upstairs, there are two double bedrooms, a twin bedroom, and a bathroom with a bath and separate shower. The kitchen is fully-equipped with a Range cooker, fridge freezer, and central island unit, while the utility room includes a dishwasher and washer dryer. Entertainment options include a TV, Blu Ray Player, books, games, DVDs, and maps, with WiFi also available.
For families, a travel cot, high chair, and stair gate are available on request, with stair gates permanently fixed in place. Outside, there is a fully enclosed rear garden with an elevated decking area offering views of the hills and Cadair Idris. Parking is available for 3 cars across the road, and a charcoal BBQ set is provided for outdoor cooking. Bed linen, towels, heating, electricity, and a starter pack of logs are included, along with a welcome pack of Welsh tea, coffee, sugar, milk, biscuits, and a bottle of wine.
One pet is welcome on the ground floor only, and smoking is not allowed. The cottage is conveniently located near attractions such as Corris Craft Centre and Coastriders Kitesurfing, making it an excellent base for exploring the area. Families can enjoy the playground within 50 meters of the cottage, while outdoor enthusiasts will appreciate the proximity to hiking trails and beaches. Overall, this cottage offers a comfortable and well-equipped stay in a picturesque Welsh village.
