Gwernouau is a pretty, 18th-century cottage and part of a working farm on the Ysbyty Estate. The cottage was renovated by the Penrhyn Estate in the late 19th-century and has many original beams and other features still in place.
Wake up to the noise of the farm, and nothing else. From here you’ll be able to head straight out into the countryside for day hikes and views of the Snowdonia mountains. The area is excellent for bird watching and fishing.
Eight miles from the cottage is the beautiful town of Betws y Coed, nestled in the heart of Snowdonia. Further afield, adventurers can enjoy more energetic attractions including zip wires, Surf Snowdonia, Rib rides and Bounce Below.
Self-catering cottage holidays in the UK and Ireland can still be a green option. You can have the comforts of home and the flexibility to do what you want; when you want - without the hassles of air travel!
