Tre Allt is a quaint and cosy traditional beamed cottage located in the hamlet of Penmaenpool, close to Dolgellau in Wales. The cottage sleeps 4 people in 2 bedrooms and features an open fire. Set on the edge of The Snowdonia National Park, it is ideally situated for various holiday activities. The Mawddach Trail, featured in Julia Bradbury's Great Railway Walks, is opposite the cottage, making it a paradise for walkers. The nearby George III pub and eatery offers a waterside location for guests to enjoy.
The cottage has a sunny north-west facing garden with stunning views of the Mawddach Estuary and Cader Idris Mountain area. Recently refurbished in a shabby chic style, Tre Allt retains its character features while providing modern comforts. The kitchen is well-equipped with modern appliances, and the cosy lounge features a wood burner set in a beamed fireplace. Upstairs, there are two bedrooms with memory foam mattresses and a bathroom with a shower over the bath.
Outside, the cottage has an enclosed garden with terraces, garden furniture, and a BBQ. Penmaenpool is a quiet location off the main road, with a parking space available across the road. The area offers a range of activities, including cycling, horse riding, and exploring the scenic surroundings. The Snowdonia National Park is a hidden gem with spectacular scenery, making it a perfect destination for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts.
Nearby attractions include the Talyllyn Narrow Gauge Railway, Talyllyn Lake, Centre for Alternative Technology, Corris Craft Centre, King Arthur's Labyrinth, Harlech Castle, and Dyffryn Ardudwy's prehistoric standing burial stones.
