The Coach House in Penmachno, Wales, is a historic building dating back to 1862 that has been carefully restored and transformed into a self-contained, two-bedroom cottage with modern amenities. The living and dining area features leather couches, Fairtrade furniture, and entertainment options such as a TV, DVD player, and PlayStation 1. The kitchen is well-equipped with appliances and kitchenware, and there is a dining area for indoor and outdoor dining.
The first bedroom retains the original character of the Coach House with traditional features and can be arranged as a super-king or twin beds. The second bedroom offers views of forested hills and can also be arranged as a super-king or twin bed. The bathroom includes a jacuzzi bathtub with Gilchrist & Soames toiletries provided. Additional amenities include electric heating, a highchair, cot, and stairgate, as well as storage for bicycles and a barbecue area.
Guests can enjoy exclusive use of a hot tub in the pergola attached to the Coach House, as well as outdoor seating areas and a drying rail for laundry. The property is located on the Penmachno Hall estate, set in private grounds along the Glasgwm River in the Snowdonia National Park. Children under four are not allowed in the hot tub, and pets and smoking are not permitted on the property. The surrounding area offers natural beauty, attractions such as the Conwy Valley Railway Museum and Zip World Fforest, and is located just four miles from Betws-y-Coed.
