Brynkir Tower

Garndolbenmaen, Gwynedd

4

Brynkir Tower is a historic gothic folly located in Garndolbenmaen, Gwynedd, Wales, perfect for a romantic getaway in the Eryri National Park. Built in 1821 to commemorate King George IV's knighthood, the 20-meter-high tower has been renovated using traditional materials, now exuding a warm, welcoming atmosphere with elegant interiors.

The sitting room on the top floor features a wood-burning stove, TV, DVD player, and stunning 270-degree views. The well-equipped kitchen/dining room includes an electric cooker, microwave, fridge, and dishwasher, with a pine dining table and chairs. The tower has a double bedroom with a brass bed, a twin-bedded room, and a bathroom with a cast iron roll-top bath.

An internal spiral stone staircase leads to each of the six rooms, with the sitting room at the top. The location in the heart of Snowdonia National Park offers a variety of activities, from walking up Snowdon to exploring picturesque villages like Beddgelert and seaside towns like Criccieth. This unique property is in a great location for outdoor adventures.

It is important to note that up to 2 dogs are allowed at Brynkir Tower, but the property does not have a garden and is in a rural location with occasional visiting sheep. For safety, dogs should be kept on a lead, especially during lambing time. The steep stone steps between floors make the property unsuitable for those with mobility issues.
