Upon arrival, guests will find ample off-road parking for two cars and a games area with table football, darts board, and a piano. The living quarters are situated on the first floor, featuring a well-equipped kitchen for self-catering, an open plan dining and living area, a master bedroom with an ensuite shower room, and a second twin bedroom with a zip-link bed that can be converted into a super king on request. The living area offers stunning views of the mountains, creating a serene atmosphere for guests to unwind.
Outside, guests can relax in the private hot tub on the patio with outdoor furniture, making it an ideal spot to enjoy the evening. The property is within walking distance to Dolgellau town center, where guests can explore independent craft and gift shops, pubs, a wine bar, restaurants, cafes, and a bakery offering freshly baked goods daily. Dolgellau is also known as a 'cycle break center,' providing dedicated cycle routes for enthusiasts, including the popular Coed y Brenin mountain bike trail nearby.
It is worth noting that Idris Barn shares the site with Cader Cottage and The Manor House, the latter of which is currently undergoing renovations until the end of the year. Situated in a rural area amidst the mountains, the cottage is close to local landmarks such as Cymer Abbey and Barmouth Bridge, as well as natural attractions like Eryri National Park and Mawddach Valley - Arthog Bog. Families traveling with children can also visit nearby attractions like Go Ape at Coed y Brenin and Penrhyn Amusement Arcade for added entertainment during their stay.
