In addition to the village, a short walk from Sygun leads to Dinas Emrys, a hill steeped in local legend, known for the mythical battle between a white dragon and a red dragon. The area is rich in folklore and offers numerous walking trails that showcase the natural beauty of Craflwyn and Beddgelert. These trails pass through enchanting landscapes featuring waterfalls, lakes, heathland, and wooded valleys, with a notable path that leads to the summit of Snowdon from the nearby village of Nant Gwynant.
