The cottage was voted one of the UK's top 20 romantic cottages in 2009 by Alistair Sawday for The Times Online.

Amenities at the cottage include LPG central heating, a woodburner in the sitting room, an electric oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher, TV with Freeview, DVD, CD player, and WiFi. Bed linen, towels, cots, highchair, and stairgate are provided. Guests can enjoy shared use of the heated outdoor swimming pool by prior arrangement with the owner, as well as the private hot tub in the garden for an extra charge. Trout fishing on the River Clwyd is available within the owner's grounds from end March to end September (fishing license required).
