Number Six has a spacious open plan ground floor with lounge arranged around a large TV & wood burner, dining area & kitchen to rear. Stairs lead up to a small landing with bathroom & 2 bedrooms leading off. Both bedrooms are to the front of the cottage, one is a standard double and the other a King Size which can also be separated to provide twin beds on request. *the sofa in the lounge is a sofa bed (double size) which can be used for any additional guests at a small charge.
A small rear gravelled courtyard has seasonally planted pots and baskets, a washing line, and seating/tables for 4 guests.
The terrace of cottages sit beside The Old Silk Mill (English Heritage Site) where the Arts and Crafts history of the town began, now home to Harts the Silvermiths who welcome visitors, and a Gallery on the ground floor which exhibits local Arts & Crafts. There is also a lovely coffee shop which also serves breakfasts.
Self-catering cottage holidays in the UK and Ireland can still be a green option. You can have the comforts of home and the flexibility to do what you want; when you want - without the hassles of air travel!
