Located in the village of Painscastle, Gatehouse is a charming detached cottage that can accommodate up to six people in four bedrooms. The cottage features a king-size double bedroom, a double bedroom, and two single bedrooms, along with a family bathroom and ground floor shower room. The kitchen includes a breakfast area, while the dining area and snug area both have woodburners for cozy evenings. Additionally, there is a second sitting room with another woodburner. Outside, guests can enjoy off-road parking for four cars, an enclosed garden with a patio, hot tub, furniture, and BBQ.

Amenities at Gatehouse include oil central heating, electric oven and gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, TV with Freeview, and DVD player. The cottage provides a starter pack for the woodburners, as well as bed linen and towels. Families with young children can make use of the travel cot, highchair, and stairgate. Up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome, with an additional charge for extra dogs. Guests can explore the beautiful surrounding countryside, as the cottage is conveniently located near the England/Wales border.
