The property is in association with Trinity House and is situated on the Glamorgan Heritage Coast, close to safe beaches like Ogmore-by-Sea, Barry Island, Southerndown, and Porthcawl, which are ideal for activities like windsurfing. Nearby Cowbridge offers a range of shops, boutiques, galleries, restaurants, and pubs, while the Gower peninsula and Mumbles are popular spots for walking and exploring.

The accommodation at Stella is all on one level and includes a sitting room, dining room, kitchen, a double bedroom with a 5' bed, a twin bedroom with 3' beds, and a single bedroom with a 3' bed. There is also a bathroom with an electric shower over the bath and a separate WC. The cottage is equipped with gas central heating, an electric "wood burner effect" fire, an electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, television, DVD and CD player, as well as a travel cot and high chair available on request. Outside, guests can enjoy the fully enclosed garden with garden furniture and onsite parking for two vehicles.

Pets are allowed at Stella, with one well-behaved dog welcome for a small additional charge. The lighthouse does not have a fog horn and the property is available for a minimum of a three-night stay.
