Set in a designated Local Wildlife Site by Shropshire Wildlife Trust, Tack Bothy offers uninterrupted countryside views and is surrounded by 43 acres of grounds. Guests can explore the Glyndwr s Way National Trail, Offa s Dyke, and numerous footpaths and cycle routes to experience the majestic Welsh countryside and rolling Shropshire Hills. The area also boasts various activities, eateries, independent shops, museums, and galleries, including attractions like the Observatory Spaceguard Centre, The National Cycle Museum, and National Trust properties.
The cottage is one of two adjacent cottages and can be booked together to accommodate up to 4 people. Situated at the top of a private drive, Tack Bothy offers peace and solitude, with only sheep and wildlife passing by. Children and dogs are welcome to roam freely in the acre of fenced-in garden, and guests can enjoy the fresh mountain air and pure spring water on tap. The property, lovingly refurbished in 2017, features a quirky, compact, and cosy studio style accommodation with exposed beams, unique windows, and interesting features. The open plan lounge/kitchen/dining/sleeping area includes a comfortable double bed, a folding table and chairs, and a small kitchen area equipped with essential amenities. The shower room has a shower and WC, and guests can relax in the private hot tub outside the front door, as well as enjoy alfresco dining with a BBQ in the fenced garden.
For added convenience, guests have access to a shared Pump House with a washing machine and tumble dryer, as well as a bicycle and canoe store. Private parking for two cars is available on the property.
