The cottage has been recently renovated with new electrics, plumbing, kitchen, bathrooms, and interiors, offering a light and airy style with Victorian features and modern comforts. The heating is provided by electric Victorian-style column radiators, and all windows have removable secondary glazing for warmth in winter. The property includes a fully equipped galley kitchen, dining room, TV room, basement bedroom and bathroom, as well as first-floor bedroom and bathroom with beach views. The attic room offers additional sleeping space with fantastic views of the coastline.
Guests can park their car at the end of the coastal garden and access the sandy beach by walking up the sea wall steps. The cottage features a brand new galley kitchen with modern appliances, a dining room with seating for six, and a TV room with a large corner sofa and wall-mounted TV. The basement includes a cozy bedroom with a king-size bed and a bathroom with a freestanding Victorian-style bath. The first floor offers a double bedroom with beach views and a large bathroom with a freestanding bath and shower enclosure. The attic room has two small single beds that can be converted into a king-size bed if needed.
Important information for 2021 includes essential works to the sea wall between the Coastguard Cottages and Lydd/Dungeness that will take place from April 2021 and last until next year. The works may involve lorries driving along the sea wall at intervals during the day, but access to the cottages and the beach will not be affected. The vacation home is located in Rye, near local landmarks such as Lamb House and Landgate, as well as activities like Rye Golf Club and 1066 Country Walk.
