Located in the heart of England in Burton Agnes, East Riding of Yorkshire, this former Victorian Granary and Railway Warehouse has been converted into a spacious retreat that can accommodate up to 18 guests. The property is set in approximately 2 acres of land, surrounded by the Burton Agnes Estate, making it an ideal location for large family gatherings, friends' getaways, or corporate groups. Guests can enjoy the nearby coastlines of East and North Yorkshire, explore the picturesque Yorkshire Wolds, or simply relax in the tranquil countryside setting.
The property features a light and airy dining room that can comfortably seat 18 guests, with ample space for dancing. The high ceilings showcase original beams and grain hatch details, while an oak spiral staircase leads to the lounge on the upper floor, providing seating for up to 16 guests. Five spacious suites/bedrooms with seating areas and flat-screen TVs with free view offer comfortable accommodations, with unlimited Wi-Fi available for guests. Outdoor amenities include a private courtyard with a dining area and a hot tub for relaxation.
Originally part of Burton Agnes Station, the property retains some of its historic features, with the tallest section once serving as a Grain Store where grain was loaded onto railway carriages. The lower long building, now housing bedrooms and bathrooms, was originally used as a railway warehouse and workshops. While Burton Agnes Station is no longer in service, guests may still catch a glimpse of the Bridlington to Hull two-carriage, speed-restricted service passing by twice an hour during peak times. Despite its proximity, the railway line is not accessible from the house or garden and has been described as "endearing rather than intrusive" by previous guests.
Situated in a rural area near the beach in Driffield, guests staying at this vacation home can enjoy the natural beauty of Bempton Cliffs and Hornsea Mere, as well as cultural highlights like The Spa Bridlington and Bayle Museum. Families with children can visit attractions such as Treasure Island Mini Golf and Gala Bingo, while outdoor enthusiasts can partake in water skiing, windsurfing, horse riding, and hunting activities in the surrounding area.
