Y Bwthyn is a charming, pet-friendly cottage located in the village of Talgarreg, near Cardigan Bay in Wales. Renowned Welsh poet Dewi Emrys once lived in this traditional Welsh stone cottage during the Second World War, winning the National Eisteddfod 'Chair' four times for his work. Recently renovated, Y Bwthyn features original exposed stonework and beams, a beautiful log burner, and a well-equipped kitchen/dining room with modern amenities. The cottage has two characterful bedrooms, including a double with an en-suite toilet and a twin room set up for children.

Outside, an enclosed garden with a raised patio offers views of the surrounding fields, with a BBQ available for guest use during the summer months. The village pub opposite the cottage provides a welcoming spot to relax. Y Bwthyn includes oil central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi, and a welcome pack, with parking available on the road in front of the cottage. No smoking/vaping is permitted indoors. Nearby attractions include the seaside town of New Quay, with boat trips to spot dolphins and seals, as well as numerous sandy beaches such as those in New Quay, Llangrannog, and Tresaith.

The county town of Cardigan, university town of Aberystwyth, and colorful Georgian harbor town of Aberaeron are all worth visiting in the area. West Wales offers opportunities for outdoor activities such as walking, cycling, and mountain biking at locations like Nant-yr-Arian, Aberystwyth, and the Brechfa Forest. The cottage's rural location in Llandysul provides access to natural beauty at Traeth y Coubal and Harbour Beach, as well as cultural highlights like Sculpture Heaven and the National Woollen Museum. Guests can also visit attractions such as the New Quay Honey Farm and Teifi Valley Railway Limited during their stay.
