Swallow Cottage is part of Cefn Gorwydd Fawr Farm, with a farmhouse dating back to the 17th century and cottages converted from the old milking barn. The property is surrounded by mature trees and a ¾ acre lawned garden. Nearby Gowerton village offers shops, pubs, restaurants, and other amenities. Guests can explore the countryside from the doorstep, with opportunities for walking, cycling, and golfing at Gower Golf Club. The cottage is also pet-friendly, allowing guests to bring their furry friends along for the stay.
The Gower peninsula, just a short drive away, offers stunning coastline with over thirty beaches and coves to explore. Guests can enjoy car-free cycle paths, footpaths, and activities at Pembrey Country Park. With easy access to the M4, visitors can venture further afield to discover more of Wales' beautiful scenery or city life in Swansea, Cardiff, and Bristol. The property is also conveniently located near a train station, offering direct access to Cardiff in just over an hour. Swallow Cottage can be booked with Meadow Cottage to accommodate larger groups of up to 8 guests.
Please note that the cottage is located at the end of an unmade farm track, which may be bumpy at times, especially during winter or after heavy rain. Visitors should drive slowly (5mph) as the track is used by horses, cyclists, and walkers with dogs.
