There are various outdoor activities available nearby, such as walking on the Southern Upland Way, fishing in local lochs, and mountain biking at Kirroughtree.

For those interested in golf or pony trekking, there are options within a short drive. The town of Stranraer offers amenities such as swimming, a leisure centre, shopping, and dining. High Mark is let on a weekly basis from Friday to Friday, with short breaks available between the end of October and Easter.
