Criffel Glen is a stunning detached two-storey house located in Kirkbean, New Abbey, Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland. The house sleeps 6 people in 3 bedrooms and features a hot tub and open fire. It has been converted from a traditional farm building to a high standard, with an enclosed garden and wheelchair access to both front and rear entrances. The house offers superb accommodation with uninterrupted views over the Solway to the Lakeland Hills.

The surrounding area offers plenty of activities, including sandy beaches at Sandyhills and Rockcliffe, as well as the RSPB Reserve at Mersehead with its own beach just a short drive away. Golf courses are plentiful in the area, with a 9-hole pay and play course nearby and a championship 18-hole links course at Southerness. Mabie Forest is also within easy reach, offering mountain biking and adventure activities for all ages. New Abbey is a charming village with historic attractions like Sweetheart Abbey and the Corn Mill.

The accommodation at Criffel Glen includes a large living room with a stove, a dining area, a fully fitted kitchen, a wet room, and a twin bedroom on the ground floor. Upstairs, there is a sitting room, a master bedroom with a king-size bed and shower room, another king-size bedroom, and a bathroom. The house is equipped with underfloor heating, a wood-burning stove, modern amenities, and Wi-Fi. Outside, there is an enclosed garden with furniture and a hot tub, as well as parking and storage for bicycles and golf equipment.

Guests should be aware that the cottage is on a working farm, so caution is advised around machinery and livestock. Pets are not allowed, and smoking is prohibited on the premises. Criffel Glen is available for weekly rentals from Friday to Friday, with short breaks welcome outside of main school holiday periods. A damage deposit and STL licence are required for bookings.
