The property is just 100 yards from a shingle beach, with lovely coastal walks leading to nearby Rigg Bay and on to the Isle of Whithorn. Garlieston village has a pub and 2 small shops, with further shops and eateries in nearby Wigtown and Whithorn. Wigtown (National Booktown) is about 10 miles away, with the Galloway Hills and Forest Park about 18 miles. The local area is very unspoilt and peaceful, with lovely rolling countryside, delightful sheltered bays and rugged cliffs.
