Low Cordorcan and Wee Cordorcan are converted barns situated at the start of the RSPB nature reserve at Wood of Cree. The largest ancient woodland in southern Scotland, the area is teeming with bird and wildlife, making it a nature lover's paradise. In spring, bluebells carpet the wood and birdsong fills the air, while autumn sees the arrival of whooper swans and goldeneye from the Arctic. The location is perfect for exploring the Galloway Forest and Dark Skies Park, with plenty of opportunities for walking, cycling, golfing, fishing, and bird watching.
Just 5 miles from Newton Stewart, guests can explore the shops and eateries in the town, as well as the nearby Glentrool, Kirroughtree, and 7Stanes mountain bike trails. The Machars Peninsula offers rocky coves, sandy beaches, and quaint villages to explore, while the Gkenwhan Gardens and Laggan Outdoor provide additional attractions. The cottage can be booked together with Wee Cordorcan to accommodate up to 6 guests, and both properties offer free WiFi. However, please note that the Wi-Fi can be intermittent and is not always reliable.
