The open plan living, dining, and kitchen area overlooks fishing ponds and rolling countryside, providing a picturesque setting for a countryside retreat. The park offers clay pigeon shooting using competition-level equipment, making it a popular spot for professionals and beginners alike. There are also well-stocked fly-fishing lakes for a tranquil outdoor experience. Guests can explore the beautiful countryside by walking or relax in the hot tub while enjoying the surroundings. Access to the lodge requires a £200 security deposit, which is held and released upon departure. Additional amenities such as bathrobe and slipper sets are available for an extra charge, and towels and toilet paper are provided.
Guests are reminded to respect others on the park by keeping noise to a minimum after 11pm and not using hot tubs or swim spas late at night. Clay pigeon shooting and fly fishing are available on-site seven days a week, and advance booking is recommended for clay pigeon shooting. Any single sex parties or group bookings must be approved by Hoseasons before confirmation. Construction of a new visitor center near reception is underway, with completion expected in the summer of 2020. Facilities will be temporarily suspended if they cannot operate in accordance with government guidelines on social distancing, but takeaway options, a supermarket, and laundrette services will remain available. Nearby attractions include Thomas Carlyle's Birthplace, Clan Armstrong Centre, Dino Park, and Lockerbie Ice Rink.
