Built over 200 years ago, Lilac Cottage is an 18th-century quarryman's cottage that retains its charm and original features while offering modern comforts. Situated within walking distance of the town and seafront, as well as beautiful countryside walks and the beach, the cottage is in a quiet and peaceful location at the top of a short steep cul-de-sac.
The cottage features a cozy sitting room with a working fireplace, a well-equipped kitchen/dining room with a large pine dining table, and a modern bathroom on the ground floor. Upstairs, there are three bedrooms - two doubles and a single with a pull-out second single bed - all with mattress protectors, duvets, and pillows. The large walled garden includes a sun terrace with a dining table and a barbecue, making it a great space for outdoor relaxation.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome at Lilac Cottage, which is warm and cozy year-round with gas central heating and electricity included in the rental. The cottage is a great base for exploring the Isle of Purbeck, with its stunning Studland Bay, heathlands, and coastal resorts all within a 25-minute drive.
