Recently refurbished, this detached property is perfect for a family seaside break in a peaceful setting. Accessible via a private single track road, it is a 20-minute walk to West Bexington or a 15-20 minute walk to Abbotsbury where guests can explore the sub-tropical gardens, local shops, pubs, tea rooms, art galleries, and the famous Abbotsbury Swannery.
The open-plan sitting room, dining room, and kitchen provide a great space for family gatherings. The property features a ground floor master bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, two twin or king-size double bedrooms, and two twin or super-king size double bedrooms on the first floor, each with an en-suite shower room and balconies offering panoramic coastal views. Outside, there is a gravelled courtyard with a dining deck, table, chairs, corner sofa, and coffee table, as well as a large open lawned area and a separate utility/laundry room.
The Old Coastguards is situated on the Jurassic Coast, a World Heritage site, providing direct access to Chesil Beach and the Coastal Path. The beach nearby is renowned for its fishing opportunities and is considered one of the best fishing beaches in the country. Guests can bring one well-behaved dog for a small additional charge, and amenities such as a high chair, portable stairgate, and barbecue (charcoal not provided) are available. However, swimming is not recommended at Chesil Beach or in the Fleet due to strong currents. Additionally, internet access is provided for recreational use only, with varying speeds and services.
