Guests can explore the apple orchard, row dinghies to the nearby pub at South Pool, and enjoy barbecues by the foreshore with views of the tidal creek of Goodshelter.
The cottages, which share a courtyard with the owner's home, offer comfortable and well-furnished accommodation overlooking the orchard and creek. Apple Tree Cottage, with its vibrant colors and own garden, can accommodate up to 7 guests when combined with The Love Shack. Guests have access to amenities like a shared laundry room with a chest freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, and ironing board. Parking is ample in the enclosed gravelled courtyard, and a pathway leads through the orchard to the creek.
For adventurous guests, a Wayfarer sailing dinghy and rowing dinghies are available for use, though guests are advised to use them at their own risk. However, at high tides, crossing the fords on the tidal road to access the property may be challenging. Tide tables are provided to guests with travel directions to ensure a smooth arrival. The location of the cottages in the tiny hamlet of Goodshelter offers a peaceful retreat near the Kingsbridge/Salcombe estuary, with easy access to the popular town of Salcombe via a ferry ride.
