Waterside Cottage is ideally located within walking distance of small shops, cafes, and inns in Appledore, as well as the quayside. The village lies on the River Torridge, and a passenger ferry regularly runs to the opposite village of Instow, known for its sandy beach. Westward Ho! beach is also nearby and offers opportunities for surfing and walking. The historic town of Bideford is a short drive away and offers boutique shops, cafes, and a ferry to Lundy Island. Outdoor activities such as golf and horse riding are available nearby, and Skern Lodge offers a range of activities just a short drive away.
The cottage's ground floor includes an entrance hall, shower room, lounge with woodburner, and kitchen/dining room. The first floor has two bedrooms, one with a double bed and river views, and the other with a single bed. The third bedroom on the second floor also has a single bed and river views. Outside, there is a courtyard with table and chairs overlooking the water. Parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis on the roadside, with a long-stay car park nearby. Pets are welcome, with up to 3 well-behaved dogs allowed for an additional charge.
Amenities included with the cottage are bed linen, electricity, heating, a flat pack charcoal barbecue, stair gate, initial supply of logs for the woodburner, Wi-Fi, and a landline telephone.
