The Hayloft near Malmsmead is a charming holiday cottage located in Oare, near the Somerset and North Devon border in the heart of Lorna Doone country. Surrounded by picturesque rolling hills and valleys, this tranquil retreat sleeps up to four guests in two double bedrooms, each with luxurious en-suite bathrooms. The spacious and modern property features a stylish sitting room with a log burning stove, a fully fitted kitchen with granite work surfaces, and a utility room for walking boots and coats.

Guests can enjoy breathtaking views of Exmoor from the garden, perfect for relaxing in the sun or al fresco dining. The location offers access to miles of country walks, stunning coastal scenery, and friendly village pubs. Dogs are welcome for a supplementary fee, and mobile phone signal is limited due to the valley location. The owners live next door and can provide access to their phone upon request.

The Hayloft is surrounded by beautiful countryside, with ancient woodlands, heather-covered moors, babbling brooks, and sea views all accessible from the door. Seven circular walks ranging from four to nine miles in length offer guests the opportunity to explore the stunning surroundings. Changeover days are on Fridays for week-long breaks, with short breaks available at certain times of the year. Guests are asked to depart by 10 am on the last day of their stay and leave the property clean and tidy for the next guests.

Located in Lynton, this rural cottage is close to cultural attractions such as Dovery Manor Museum and Dunster Dolls Museum. Outdoor activities such as walking along the South West Coast Path Section 2 Trailhead and visiting Porlock Weir Harbour are also nearby. Valley of the Rocks and Greencombe Gardens are additional points of interest in the area.
