This beautiful thatched Grade II listed cottage with its own private secure garden is located in an area of outstanding natural beauty adjacent to the acclaimed blue flag Putsborough/Woolacombe beach. There is a private footpath to the beach and use of a private tennis court, and wooden play center for the children in the lovely garden.
The cottage is full of character with lots of original features like flagstone floors,beamed ceilings and woodburner. It has been very well equipped and fully refurbished is a country style which complements the character of the cottage. There is a large comfortable lounge with lovely aspects over the adjoining gardens and a dining area (TV and DVD player with Sky TV), a beautifully appointed kitchen and great bathroom with jacuzzi bath and shower, located downstairs. Upstairs two cosy bedrooms overlooking the gardens.
The gardens are peaceful and in a beautiful area, with children play area and use of a private tennis court, a bbq and sheltered seating area completes the picture and gives you a great place to holiday and chill out after a busy day on the beach a few hundred yards away.
You can also bring your horse on holiday with you, we have a secure paddock and water nearby, there are plenty of places to ride for example on Putsborough or Saunton beaches, on Exmoor or on the bridal paths next to the cottage.
Putsborough is surrounded by National Trust land with breathtaking views and numerous walks, including the South West Coastal Path. The popular surfing meccas of Croyde and Saunton Sands are very close by and within a few minutes drive, there is a path to Croyde approx 3/4 mile. Woolacombe is also close by, either a couple of minutes drive or a leisurely walk along the beach.
Locally facilities include excellent golf courses, horse riding, boat/fishing hire, clay pigeon shooting at the renowned South West Shooting Club, Lundy Island ferry trips from Ilfracombe, several adventure/children parks nearby, and National Trust properties to visit. The beautiful and dramatic landscape of Exmoor is also close by. The coast line is rich in beautiful villages and towns to visit.
