The Elizabethan port of Bideford with its bustling quayside, choice of individual shops, Burton Art Gallery and lovely riverside park and the spectacular Northam Burrows (centre of the North Devon UNESCO Biosphere Reserve), famous golf links and surf washed sands of Westward Ho! are all within a 5 minute drive. An ideal base from which to visit the superb nearby beaches of Westward Ho! and Instow and the quaint fishing port of Appledore.  The dramatic heritage coastline towards Hartland and North Cornwall which is part of the South West Coastal Path as well as the pretty, historic character villages just a few miles inland are also just a short scenic drive.  For those who wish to leave the car in the driveway there is also a regular bus service available closeby.
