Beech Cottage is a cosy, comfortable and charming cottage, sitting adjacent to the farmhouse at Southlands Farm. The accommodation is perfect for a family or couples, and the wonderful rural location invites guests to relax and enjoy the delights of this special location. Sitting within 11 acres, the area is a haven for bees, butterflies and flowers, and guests may also have the delight of saying hello to the goats, horses, cats and dog who share the quiet setting.
When arriving at the cottage, you will find plenty of space for parking and a table tennis table tucked under a barn, with the cottage proudly facing you. The ground floor of Beech Cottage includes a spacious sitting room with a wood burning stove, and double glazed doors that lead out to the secure courtyard terrace with garden furniture. The family kitchen is well-equipped with plenty of space for preparing wholesome meals and snacks, and includes a dining table and four chairs. A cloakroom with laundry area completes the ground floor, and timber stairs then take you up to the first floor, where you will find the two pretty bedrooms and the family bathroom.
Guests are encouraged to walk around the orchard that sits on the hillside next to the cottage, and enjoy an apple or two when the season is right, or to sit on the bench and enjoy the view. A full-size tennis court is available, and located just a few steps away from the cottage. There are numerous opportunities for walking or cycling all around the area, with the village of Dunkeswell just a mile away, and the nearby market town of Honiton just ten minutes away.
When staying at Beech Cottage you are spoilt for choice for things to do and days out, with Seaton, Branscombe, Sidmouth, Lyme Regis and much of the Jurassic Coast all just a pleasant drive away.
