Outside, there is a small fenced lawn area, decking with table and chairs, and an external sink for washing sandy/muddy shoes and wetsuits.
Buckland Park, where Toad Hall is situated, is near Bantham beach, which was voted the best beach in the UK and 6th best in Europe by Lonely Planet in 2015. The beach is ideal for children, surfers, and kite surfers, with lifeguards present from May to September. Dogs are allowed on the beach at certain times and in designated areas.
