The Hayloft is a homely cottage located on the edge of Matlock, Derbyshire in the heart of England. It sleeps up to 6 people and features an open fire, perfect for cozy evenings. The town of Matlock offers amenities such as grocery shops, a local pub, post office, and swimming pool. Golf enthusiasts will appreciate the proximity to a golf club, while bird watchers can enjoy spotting the various feathered friends in the area.
Spread out over three levels, The Hayloft is accessed via the middle floor, leading into the main reception rooms. The spacious lounge is ideal for relaxation, with a log burning fire for warmth. The separate dining area features wooden floors and a good-sized dining table, open plan to the farmhouse-style kitchen with plenty of natural light. The two main bedrooms, one with a double bed and en suite shower room, and the other with two single beds and access to the family bathroom, both offer comfortable cast iron beds for a restful night's sleep.
The third bedroom, located in the eaves of the cottage, features two single beds, a skylight, and charming exposed beams, along with an en suite loo. Outside, a small sunny patio with garden furniture is perfect for evening BBQs, while a large lawned garden and shared tennis court and games room provide entertainment for the whole family. The Hayloft is one of two cottages at the same location that can be booked together to accommodate up to 12 people, with the option to dine together in either of the barns, the other being The Byre Matlock.
