Hope Cottage, located in the peaceful village of Great Longstone in the heart of the Peak District National Park, offers a cosy retreat with a mix of traditional features and modern amenities. Originally owned by the Duke of Devonshire, this 18th century corner cottage boasts beams, wooden floors, latch doors, and stone fireplaces. It has been tastefully restored and well modernised, providing a perfect haven for relaxation after a day of activities or sightseeing.

The cottage is ideally situated near Bakewell, known for its bustling cattle market and world-famous Bakewell puddings, as well as the Chatsworth Estate with its stately home, gardens, and shops. Monsal Dale, a picturesque spot, is also close by, offering opportunities for walking, mountain biking, and other outdoor activities. Several pubs serving excellent food are within walking distance, making the cottage a great holiday retreat or romantic getaway.

Inside the cottage, guests will find a comfortable living/dining room, a well-equipped kitchen, and two bedrooms (one double and one twin with a low-level single futon). The family bathroom features a rain head shower. Outside, there is a small yard with seating, and parking is available on the road in front of the cottage. Gas central heating, electricity, and bed linen are included, and well-behaved dogs are welcome to stay.
