Located in Eskdale, Cumbria in the North of England, this magnificent four-bedroom country house can accommodate up to eight guests and two dogs. Guests can enjoy the nearby pub and open fire during their stay. The house is steeped in history and offers easy access to various attractions in the area. Visitors can take a ride on the famous Ravenglass and Eskdale Steam Railway in Boot, less than a mile away. Additionally, they can explore the ruins of an old Roman bathhouse in Ravenglass, 8 miles away, or visit Muncaster Castle and Gardens.

For outdoor enthusiasts, there are plenty of opportunities for gentle walks along the River Esk or more challenging hikes like Scafell Pike, England's highest peak, located 5 miles away on foot. The house features a rear porch with a utility room and freezer, as well as a generous kitchen/diner equipped with an AGA, induction hobs, and a fan oven/microwave combi. Guests can relax in the dining room or lounge with exposed stone walls, old oak beams, and a wood burner. Musicians can enjoy playing the grand piano, while a separate study provides a quiet space for board games.

Upstairs, guests will find a landing with an upper lounge, a family bathroom, and a master bedroom with a 300-year-old king-size four-poster bed. There is also a twin room with scenic views and a family suite with a double bedroom and bunk room. The rooms are served by an additional shower room. Outside, guests can enjoy the leafy gardens, BBQ on balmy evenings, and explore different areas to relax. Children should be supervised near the pond area. Access to the property is via an uneven farm track shared with a neighboring working farm.
