The Tree House Cumbria is a unique 170-year-old cottage located in Beckermet, Cumbria, in the North of England. The cottage features internal arboreal architecture and offers a blend of traditional comforts and modern smart home technology. Situated near England's highest peak, Scafell Pike, scenic lakes, beaches, and coastline, the pet-friendly cottage is within walking distance of a village pub and a short drive from traditional pubs, restaurants, shops, and sightseeing attractions. The area also offers cycling routes, bird-watching opportunities, and access to less frequented but stunning areas of the Lake District.
The cottage itself is more of a tree in a house than a house in a tree, with a spectacular natural 'sculpture' serving as the focal point of the living room. Accommodation includes a romantic double bedroom with cathedral-style ceiling, a well-equipped bedroom with bunk beds, and a sofa bed for additional guests. The open plan kitchen features live edge worksurfaces and island hob, while the living room offers a cozy atmosphere with a log burning stove and traditional fireplace. An attractive conservatory dining area overlooks the patio, and the country garden provides various spots for relaxation, including a large pond and hammock.
The Tree House is equipped with modern technology, including Samsung Frame TV, Smart TV, Bluetooth speaker, superfast fiber broadband, and Amazon Prime services. The cottage operates as a fully integrated Smart Home, but traditional light switches are also available for those who prefer them. Bedding is provided for up to six guests, with the option to bring bedding for a travel cot or extra fold-away bed. It's important to note that there is a right of way at the rear of the property leading to neighboring gardens, and a maximum of two dogs are allowed on the premises. The location offers easy access to attractions like Muncaster Castle, Eskdale Mill, Go Ape Whinlatter, and Lake District Coast Aquarium, making it an ideal vacation destination for families and nature enthusiasts alike.
