Located in Newlands Valley, Cumbria, in the North of England, this charming cottage sleeps up to 6 guests and features an open fire. Situated in the picturesque Newlands Pass between Braithwaite and Buttermere, the cottage offers stunning mountain views of Catbells, Robinson, and Blencathra. It serves as an ideal base for walkers of all abilities, with nearby fells such as Causey Pike, Ard Crags, Robinson, and Dale Head easily accessible from the front door. Just a short distance from Derwentwater, guests can enjoy cruises, fishing, and kayaking, while the bustling market town of Keswick offers a variety of pubs, shops, and restaurants.

Upon entering the cottage, guests are greeted by a welcoming lounge with comfortable seating, a TV, DVD player, and original features like an exposed ceiling beam and feature fireplace. The spacious kitchen/diner provides a sociable area for gathering, with a dining area featuring a wood burner, TV, large dining table, and comfortable seating. The well-equipped kitchen includes an oven, hob, fridge, microwave, and dishwasher, while a utility room on the ground floor houses a washer, tumble dryer, large fridge, and large freezer (please note the AGA is not in use).

Upstairs, guests will find three cozy bedrooms decorated in light, neutral tones, including two king-size rooms with walk-in wardrobes and en suite shower rooms, as well as a home-like twin room. There is also a separate shower room on this floor. The cottage, known for its appearance in the BBC drama 'The A Word' as the family home, features a small back yard backing onto the fellside of Causey Pike and a small woodland area. A small sitting area and private patio at the front of the cottage offer a perfect spot for enjoying morning coffee while taking in the views of Catbells, Maiden Moor, and High Spy. Outdoor equipment can be stored in the owner's adjoining barn, and private parking is available opposite the property.
