Stable Cottage is a charming semi-detached barn conversion located on a working farm near Newbiggin-on-Lune in Kirkby Stephen, Cumbria. The cottage sleeps up to five people in two bedrooms, with a king-size double and a family room with three singles. The family room can be configured as a double and single upon request. The cottage features a family bathroom on the ground floor and an open plan living area upstairs. Outside, there is off-road parking, a patio with furniture, and shared grounds with a play area, making it an ideal family base or retreat for walkers exploring the fells. Pets are welcome at an additional cost of £15 per dog.
Amenities at Stable Cottage include biomass central heating, an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, TV with Freeview, DVD player, CD player, WiFi, and a selection of books and games. Fuel and power are included in the rent, as well as bed linen and towels. A cot and highchair are available upon request. Guests can enjoy off-road parking for up to three cars, a private patio area with furniture and BBQ, and a shared paddock with a play area. There is also a washing and drying facility available through the owner. Please note that there is restricted head height in the open-plan living space.
Newbiggin-on-Lune is a small village located below the Howgill Fells, offering easy access to both the Lake District National Park and the Yorkshire Dales.
