Surrounded by stunning countryside, there are plenty of walking opportunities nearby, such as circular walks around Loughrigg Tarn and picturesque Elterwater. The village of Chapel Stile and the Langdale Valley are also within easy reach, offering beautiful scenery and hiking trails like Wansfell Pike and the challenging Fairfield Horseshoe.

Local highlights in the area include the bustling town of Ambleside, with its variety of outdoor and independent shops, cinemas, restaurants, and cafes. Nearby Bowness on Windermere is home to The World of Beatrix Potter and Hill Top, her former home managed by the National Trust. A ferry ride across Windermere to Hawkshead is also a great option for exploring the area. Further north, Keswick offers outdoor adventures and the opportunity to climb Skiddaw or stroll around Derwentwater.

The dog-friendly cottage sleeps four guests and one dog comfortably, with a cosy living room featuring a wood burner, feature fireplace, TV, and rustic wood beam ceiling. The spacious kitchen is fully equipped for cooking meals, while the adjoining dining room has seating for four. Upstairs, there are two peaceful bedrooms, a master with wood panelled walls and a view of the hills, and a cosy twin bedroom. The bathroom includes a shower cubicle and WC. Outside, a pretty garden with a secret path to a viewpoint, as well as an enclosed front garden, provide outdoor space to enjoy. Allocated parking for two cars is available in a layby opposite the cottage for convenience.
