Located in the vibrant Lakeland village of Staveley, just 3 miles from Windermere in Cumbria, this charming cottage sleeps 4 people in 2 bedrooms. Situated on the edge of the village, the cottage offers a secluded retreat with views of the countryside, while still being only a 5-minute walk from village amenities such as pubs, a grocery store, cafes, and a brewery. The area is perfect for walking and cycling, with endless trails and paths to explore in the surrounding hills and Kentmere Valley.

The cottage is fully centrally heated and features original stripped pine floorboards upstairs, with a king-size bed in one bedroom and two single beds in the second bedroom. The shower room is fully tiled in travertine. Downstairs, the open plan lounge/dining/kitchen area has solid oak flooring and a fully equipped kitchen with modern appliances. A large feature log burning stove adds to the cozy atmosphere of the living space, while the patio/garden outside provides a relaxing spot to enjoy the distant sounds of the waterfall over the weir.

Guests have access to a private car park space for one car at the end of the garden/track. All electric and gas are included in the price of the rental. It is important to note that the cottage is located in a quiet hamlet with two other cottages, so it is not suitable for parties or loud music. The surrounding area offers plenty of activities, from visiting cultural attractions like the Quaker Tapestry Museum & Exhibition and Kendal Museum to outdoor adventures such as windsurfing, sailing, hiking, and cycling. With its peaceful setting in the mountains near Kendal, this cottage provides a perfect base for exploring the beauty of the North of England.
