It is one of five former mill workers' cottages in the hamlet of Stair, with easy access to the bustling market town of Keswick and the village shop in Braithwaite. The well-loved Swinside Inn is just a short walk away. The cottage has been beautifully refurbished in a modern style, making it the perfect romantic getaway.

There are plenty of activities to enjoy in the area, including walking, lake cruises, country rambles, golf, tennis, and a variety of visitor attractions that are open year-round. The surrounding scenery is breathtaking, with picturesque lake and mountain views throughout the National Park. Inside the cottage, guests can relax in the bright and spacious open plan living area, complete with an open fire, dining area, and fully fitted kitchen. The patio overlooks the large shared landscaped gardens, providing a peaceful outdoor space to unwind.

Upstairs, the characterful bedroom features a king-size bed under an original beamed ceiling, along with a newly fitted modern en-suite bathroom with a washer/dryer. For a more leisurely day, a short drive to Keswick offers opportunities to browse shops, stroll through Hope Park to Derwentwater, and enjoy a romantic lake cruise.
