Dating back to pre-Roman times, the farm is one of the oldest in Alston Moor and even has the remains of ancient roundhouses on the land.

The cottage itself is cozy and well-equipped with a wood-burning stove, kitchen essentials, and satellite TV/DVD player. The highlight of the property is the covered hot tub, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the beautiful surroundings. The area is rich in history, with Hadrian's Wall just a short distance away and evidence of Viking occupation found on the farm, including a Viking war axe with battle marks.
