The cottage, called The Cote, offers a double room, a twin room, and a room with adult bunks, along with a bathroom, shower room, and ground floor cloakroom. The kitchen includes a dining area, while the sitting room is cozy and comfortable. Outside, there is off-road parking for three cars and opportunities for walks right from the doorstep, making it an ideal base for walkers and those looking to explore the market towns, historic houses, and beautiful scenery of the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Amenities at The Cote include ground source underfloor heating, an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, TV with Freeview, DVD player, and WiFi. Fuel and power are included in the rent, as well as bed linen and towels. A travel cot and highchair are available upon request, and there is bike storage on-site. The cottage welcomes three well-behaved dogs and features a field for exercising them. Guests can enjoy a new children's play area located in a securely fenced field next to the property. It is important to note that the private water supply is not suitable for drinking, but bottled water is provided. Pets are not allowed upstairs in the property.
