The Granary is a charming stone-built cottage located in Durham, North of England, just three miles from Lanchester village and eleven miles from Durham city. This semi-detached cottage, adjoining the owner's home, sleeps five people in two bedrooms - one double and one family room with three single beds. It features a family shower room, a fitted kitchen with dining area, a sitting room with a woodburning stove, and a conservatory. Outside, there is off-road parking and an enclosed garden area with garden furniture, making it a perfect rural retreat for exploring Northumberland.

The cottage is equipped with LPG central heating, a woodburning stove, double oven with hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, TV with Freeview, DVD player, CD player, and WiFi. Fuel, power, starter pack for the stove, bed linen, and towels are included in the rent. A cot and highchair are available, and one well-behaved dog is welcome under strict control. Due to its rural location, internet connection and speeds cannot be guaranteed. The owner's ponies, hens, and occasionally sheep are nearby, so children must be supervised around the livestock, and dogs must be kept under control.

Lanchester village, where The Granary is situated, has a rich history dating back to Roman times, with a Norman church and surrounding farms constructed from stones of the original Longovicium fort. The village offers a range of shops, pubs, and restaurants, and the surrounding countryside provides excellent walking opportunities and historic attractions. Just 20 miles away is Newcastle city, offering cosmopolitan entertainment, while the North Sea Coastline boasts beaches and castles for those seeking sun and sand. The Granary provides a peaceful and comfortable base for exploring the beautiful Durham region with its diverse attractions and activities for all ages.
