The courtyard of the property has large entrance gates that guests can close for privacy, although the owners may occasionally be seen there, especially on bin collection days.

Due to its historic barn conversion, most of the living space at Barn House Mews is located upstairs, making it inaccessible for those with mobility issues. Additionally, small children must be supervised at all times due to the open stairwell.
