Mena-Gwins is a spacious and well equipped end terrace property which is only a short walk from the town and has parking for 2/3 cars. As well as a number of restaurants, including several owned by Rick Stein, Padstow also has pubs, cafes, shops and galleries, a beautiful unspoilt harbour and a maze of picturesque narrow streets leading down to the port. Mena-Gwins is situated in a cul de sac, backing onto the road leading to the town and is hence only a 7 minute walk down to the harbour. The coastal path out of the town follows the river Camel and this takes you to a beautiful sandy beach in the estuary. The river is also popular for water sports such as sailing and windsurfing. A short drive takes you to several superb sandy beaches and the beautiful coastal path with its spectacular rugged coastline, only a mile or two down the road. At the top of the town will be found the historic and interesting Elizabethan manor house of Prideaux Place, home of the Prideaux-Brune family, which is open to visitors during the season.
