There are beautiful sandy beaches on the river Camel estuary and on most days you will see wind and kite surfing and dinghy sailing on the river as well as the comings and goings of the Padstow fishing boats. Sheltered beaches within easy walk or just down the coast there are a further number of glorious sandy beaches - great for surfing and families. The Camel Trail, which leads all the way from Padstow to Bodmin along the route of the old railway line, passes through Wadebridge where some lovely unique shops can also be found.
