The Schooner is a detached cottage located in the hamlet of Ballydevlin near the village of Goleen in County Cork, South West of England. It can accommodate up to seven people in four bedrooms, including a king-size double, a double, a ground floor twin, and a ground floor single. The cottage features a bathroom, a ground floor shower room, an open-plan living room with kitchen, dining area, and sitting area with an open fire, as well as a second sitting room with a woodburning stove and a sunroom. Outside, there is ample off-road parking, a decked area with garden furniture, a patio, and a large lawned area with seating, offering stunning countryside views and glimpses of the sea.

The property includes amenities such as oil central heating, an oven and hob, fridge, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, WiFi, TV, DVD player, a selection of books, games, and DVDs. Bed linen and towels are provided, along with a travel cot and highchair. The cottage does not allow pets or smoking, and it is not suitable for stag/hen parties. The village of Goleen offers four pubs, two shops, a petrol station, and a fast food restaurant, with attractions such as the Blue Flag sandy beach at Barley Cove and the visitor centre at Mizen Head nearby. Activities in the area include golf, horse riding, walking, angling, sailing, diving, birdwatching, and surfing, while the market town of Skibbereen provides shops, restaurants, and pubs for further entertainment.

Located in a rural area, The Schooner is close to landmarks such as Three Castles Head and Mizen Vision, as well as attractions like the Whyte Bookshop and Schull Planetarium. Guests can enjoy golfing, hiking, biking, and cycling in the area, making it an ideal destination for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday in the beautiful surroundings of County Cork. The property is currently being renovated and will accommodate six people from October 2023.
