A newly refurbished, Grade II listed farmhouse, with a contemporary style whilst keeping its traditional farmhouse look with original windows and a huge front door. The large farmhouse style kitchen provides plenty of space, with a relaxed dining room adjacent for family gatherings. Both the sitting room and dining room have cosy fireplaces with traditional wood burners providing a welcoming atmosphere for those evenings spent indoors. The large garden to the side leaves plenty of room for dogs to roam, children to play and for the grown ups to relax. To the rear of the cottage is a beautifully restored listed outbuilding and an electric car charging point.
The nearest village of Gunwalloe with its natural beauty, was the setting for many beach scenes with Ross and Demelza in the BBC’s remake of Poldark. The wild westerly gales batter this stretch of coastline littered with shipwrecks and tales of piracy. Nearby Dollar Cove got its name from the wreck of the Spanish ship, San Salvador, lost in 1669 whilst laden with silver dollars. According to local legend, it was said to be carrying two tonnes of coins, some of which occasionally wash-up on the beach.
