The cottage has a modern interior and is conveniently situated within walking distance of local shops, restaurants, and beaches. One of the town's main attractions is St Michael's Mount, a historic castle on a tidal island that can be accessed by a causeway at low tide or by boat at high tide. The Old Cowshed offers stunning views of the sea and St Michael's Mount.

The cottage features three floors, including a mezzanine level bedroom, and comes equipped with modern amenities such as an oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, and washer/dryer. Families with young children are catered to with a highchair and travel cot provided. Outside, guests can enjoy a patio with outdoor furniture and a balcony with views of St Michael's Mount. Pets are welcome at The Old Cowshed, with a maximum of two dogs allowed for an additional fee.

Additional amenities include free WiFi, bed linen, towels, and parking for one car. Guests are reminded that smoking is not permitted on the property. Prior arrangements must be made for pets staying at the cottage, and guests may need to pay an Accidental Damage Deposit or Accidental Damage Deposit Waiver.
