Perching on the edge of Port Quin’s sheltered beach is this former fisherman’s cottage. It has a traditional stone exterior and interiors that add to its Cornish charm. Inside you’ll find low beamed ceilings, a log burner and three cosy bedrooms. There is also a delightful terrace, which can be accessed from the stable doors of both the kitchen and sitting room.
The beach just below is ideal for rock pooling and kayaking. We’ll provide secure storage if you’d like to bring your own kayak. If you prefer walking, you’ll be on the footpath to the rest of Cornwall – just loop onto the South West Coast Path from the terrace of the cottage for long walks along the headlands.
Walk east to the higgledy-piggledy lanes of Port Isaac or west to sandy surfing beach, Polzeath. Jump on board the ferry from Rock to the fishing village of Padstow to sample some of Cornwall’s best seafood.
Self-catering cottage holidays in the UK and Ireland can still be a green option. You can have the comforts of home and the flexibility to do what you want; when you want - without the hassles of air travel!
